Werken met de verborgen krachten van de Geest
Als bewustzijnstrainer werkt Ina met de positieve veranderingskrachten die in ieders geest verborgen zijn. Haar lesmethoden
In haar lessen en workshops combineert zij theorie en praktijk waarbij Ina gebruik maakt van technieken als Pathworking, mantrams, het neerzetten en opslaan van gedachtevormen, rituelen, energieoefeningen, vibratieoefeningen, healings- en autohypnotische technieken.
Tegenwoordig doceert zij, na een jarenlange en intensieve studie, de oude Egyptische inwijdingsweg, de Magische Kabbala en de zogenaamde Zeemysteriën: dit zijn inwijdingswegen uit diverse voorchristelijke tradities die een directe relatie hebben met de mythologieën over de sterren.

Well, I know I said I'd report back on it but I'm still a little stunned.
Firstly, I'm stunned by the good fortune I feel I had in being in the right place at the right time. Up until now, everything I know about the Egyptian Mysteries I've had to somehow glean myself, through reading inpenetrable texts and then taking what I got from them to my spirit guides, who would augment or clarify through direct and instantaneous transmission or later on, through inspired writing. So this was the first time I actually sat in front of a human teacher who knew so thoroughly what she was talking about, and using flip charts and markers, described it all to me. Over the course of two hours, Ina gave a brilliant exposition as to the symbolism of the ancient Egyptians and how they applied to the spiritual teachings and what it all meant.
But secondly, I'm also stunned by two events of synchronicity on this forum. From Ina's talk, I began to understand how the Western Mystery tradition differed from the Eastern one in one primary respect. While the Eastern one is more based on emptying one's mind, the Western one is more based on mental exercises and rituals. Both work in their different ways and if you have a look at Mike Williams post in Sacred Journeys about the Origin of God, which he only posted today, he explains how and why.
As Ina says in her book, The Temple of High Magic:
"We do not work with emptying the mind, which is often the case with Eastern systems. We let the mind circulate like a little weight on a prayer mill. It turns around the core with the energy that is raised by the interconnected symbols. In this way, the mind concentrates and the rational mind is blocked."
The other so-called coincidence has come about because of Ashashane's post on journeying through lunar cycles; in other words, using the cycles of the moon to effect spiritual transformation and transfiguration. The High Magic of the ancient Babylonians and Egyptians was also to effect spiritual transformation and transfiguration (as opposed to Low Magic, which is sorcery). The High Magic is about inner alchemy, where we transform all our fears and hatred and angers and so on into light energy, and use this energy to effect our transfiguration in our Higher Selves. The methods used are what has come down to us as the Kaballah, and they worked along its pathways connecting the various spheres, which each have their own intrinsic qualities.
I now understand that I should work with this Kabbalah method to effect my own transformation, but by also bringing in the help of the moon cycles, as explained by Ashashane.
So thank you Ina, Mike and Ashashane for helping to bring me to this realisation about my path going forward.

That's probably why Ina's book is full of long stories which one tapes and then listens to in the form of guided meditations. I'm sure, at some stage, I will read Dion Fortune's novels. I think every age produces a shining light to illuminate a particular path and as Dion Fortune was for the previous century, so Ina is for this one. Ina is following in the tradition of Dion Fortune — this is from the Foreword to her book, The Temple of High Magic, by the esoteric author Gareth Knight who trained in Dion Fortune's school.
"... Thus it was when I first came upon the work of Dion Fortune, who inspired me to follow in her footsteps and to study in her school, the Society of Inner Light, just as she in turn had studied at the feet of her teachers whose line extended back into and beyond the Hermetic Order of the Golden Dawn and into the lesser known reaches of esoteric Masonry represented by Theodore Moriarty. Thus it was when I teamed up with the grand old adept Ernest Butler and encouraged him to write the basic material for what was to become another major esoteric school, the Servants of the Light, with worldwide ramifications under the tutelage of Dolores Ashcroft-Nowicki.
Now, in a further turn of the spiral path, I have the pleasure of witnessing the work of Ina Custers–van Bergen, which develops linearly from all that has gone before. She presents for the 21st century the age-old principles of the Western esoteric tradition, based upon the Tree of Life and the practicalities of its various Triangles of Art, from cosmic symbols to ethical responsibility to the basic symbols and rituals of empowerment in the outer world. May her work prove a guide to your aspiration and a lantern to your feet.
